Cold and Flu Season in San Carlos May Require Visit to Urgent Care

Watch out, everyone: flu season is here, and it’s poised to be in full swing in the coming weeks. San Carlos residents should start to notice more people coming down with colds and the influenza virus as the New Year gets off to a start. Typically, flu season lasts from October to March each year and peaks in February. Do You Have the Flu? The unusual cold weather this year with temperatures dipping down to freezing overnight can make any illness seem worse and may even lower the body's immune response. Signs of the flu may vary but do include, headache, stiffness, pain, a fever, fatigue, dry cough, sore throat, nausea and chills.
